Gardens of Lomos del Cantal Residential Complex

The project was commissioned by a homeowners’ association to address the entire perimeter of their development, which (except for the plot boundary walls) had been left unfinished during construction.

A landscaped exterior is proposed so that the homes transition from forming a boundary between the street and the interior garden to being surrounded by both exterior and interior gardens. This not only increases the value of the development but also enhances the interior value of the homes themselves. Additionally, pergolas are planned to create spaces that can be used and enjoyed during the summer months, while also improving the neglected façade of the development.

Two types of pavement are proposed:

  1. Circulation areas (walkable)
  2. Green areas (not walkable)

The circulation areas will accommodate both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. They are also designed to allow movement to unfold through a sequence of living spaces.

The green areas are placed around the development’s boundary (softening the edge with the exterior) and along the side access areas to the homes, as these are residual spaces lacking aesthetic value or functional use.
